Radio Play And Shrek Rap CD

I'm very excited to announce that I'll be playing live for PH7 in his Neutral Zone show on South City Radio this Wednesday (28th Jan). They played one of my songs on the show broadcast on the 21st which featured Steve Bolt and Chosen Fume, which you can still hear via their website. Tune in live tomorrow at 7pm, or if you can't listen live revisit the site and download the show at a later time.

The double book launch and live performance of Shrek Rap went very well (see below) and if you would like to own a copy of Shrek Rap (by Casdok) on CD (also featuring The End Of The World Part I and After All) then please send me an email: music @ darencallow.co.uk (without the spaces) with your address, I would ask for a donation of a minimum of £3 all the profits from sales of the CD will be donated to autism related charities (to be confirmed shortly) - payments can be made via PayPal at the same email address or via the button on my Music page. If you would prefer to have the song via MP3 download, then please make your payment and then contact me by email, and I will send you a link to download the three songs and album cover.

For more information about the books the launch was for, then go here

Once again thanks for everything. I've filmed N3S grooving to 'Shrek Rap' and want to send it to you and Casdok but don't know how. If I can figure it out then I'll email it to you both. xo

Congrats sweetie on both news!!!!

I've made a donation to the Shrek Rap CD, the least I can do since I couldn't make it to the actual event. I'll do a post on it, and the two novels (when I get them all delivered!).

DJ: I can't wait to see it, perhaps you can upload it to YouTube? Or send it on a DVD-ROM?

Casdok: Me too!

Trixie: Donation received, thank you! CD on it's way to you tomorrow.

I can't even uopload it onto blogger! It is an AVI file? Do you think YouTube wil accept an AVI file? Burning it to a CD is a good idea, I will buy some and try that.

If you can get it to me on disk I can convert it to anything... could even add the recorded track to the soundtrack so it sounds really good.

Ok I will ask Chopper to buy some CDs today and try and get it off the camera and onto a CD this weekend.

Hi Darren, only now commenting as have not had access to a computer since Monday evening. I have to say that my previous experience of rap style music never did anything for me so when I heard that someone was doing a rap at the book launch I did think "oh dear this could be dreadful". BUT YOU WERE BLOODY AMAZING. I don't know what impressed me more, the lyrics or your playing/technical wizzardry. But they were an unbeatable combination. Take another round of applause now for a fantastic performance.

DJ: Great!

Troy: Thanks for your kind words, of course I can take no credit for the lyrics that are all Casdok: as you can see from here.

Glad that I could introduce you to another side of the music spectrum.

I have to say I was as worried as you Troy, about the 'rap'. Well, it was absolutely bloody fantastic. How you managed to do that thing with you foot, play and rap all at once I have no idea. I was utterly staggered and am so glad I now have the CD too.

What a great night it was and your contribution was a stellar part of it.

Thanks for the info via email too.

Playing in a live show is never easy. I was once a percussionist and in fact, I teach children on how to play congos and bongos which are few from my favorite percussion instruments. Nice shot. Conducting a show like that is quite tiring.
